To follow technological developments, the new version uses the most up-to-date Java technology information:

• The architecture of the platform is based on the Java Enterprise Edition 5.0 (JEE) using the SOA concept (Service Oriented Architecture) to distribute components;
• The system is developed using Struts2 (presentation layer), Spring 2 (business layer), EJB3 (remote communication), JPA (data persistence), JUnit (unit testing), Log4j (logging and audit), Ajax (interface);
• Support for needs of large access volumes and high availability through clustered environments with support for failure tolerance and load distribution;
• Support for the main J2EE application servers and key databases. 
 

The software architecture ensures the highest performance levels for portals created with Navita Portal by separating the servers for editing and publication. Content managers work in the editing environment to build, approve and diagram pages. After approval, the pages are published pre-processed on the publication servers, which are optimized to only provide content to visitors of the portal.
